English Heritage - Cow Tower
Cow Tower is a 14th-century artillery tower and heritage site in Norwich, Norfolk, built to defend the city from invasion.

About
English Heritage - Cow Tower
Standing on the banks of the River Wensum at Cotman Fields, Cow Tower is one of the earliest purpose-built artillery towers in England, dating from the 1300s. The structure is notable for its fine medieval brickwork, a relatively rare material for defensive architecture of that period in England. Managed by English Heritage, the tower is free to view from the outside and sits within an easy walk of Norwich city centre.
