Wild Halloween at Lackford Lakes 2026

Families explore the reserve after dark on a trail of nature-themed activities about creatures of the night, from making tin can bug hotels and dissecting owl pellets to torch-lit bug hunting, bat detecting and modelling clay creatures. There is no time limit, though the trail usually takes an hour to an hour and a half. Arrival slots run from 4.30pm, with last entry at 7pm. Tickets cost £8 for children aged five and over and £3 for adults and under-fives, and must be booked in advance. It is very dark between activities, so a torch is essential, and only assistance dogs are allowed.
