Suffolk County Music Service Gala Concert

This annual gala concert brings together three of Suffolk's finest youth ensembles: the Suffolk Youth Orchestra, Suffolk Young Strings, and Suffolk Youth Wind Band. The programme opens with Saint-Saëns' Danse Macabre and includes the first movement of Mendelssohn's Violin Concerto, alongside movements from Beethoven's Symphony No.7. The wind band and string orchestra add further variety, ranging from lyrical repertoire to bold, uplifting pieces. Running for around 110 minutes with a 20-minute interval, it is a warm showcase of the county's young musical talent performing at one of England's great concert halls.
