About this event
The Red House Art Tour is a guided 90-minute tour of Benjamin Britten and Peter Pears' former home in Aldeburgh, led by expert guides who highlight key artworks from the collection and share the stories and insights behind the pieces the pair chose to live with. Britten and Pears assembled around 1,200 works, ranging from William Blake to David Hockney, with drawings, watercolours, prints and paintings by British and European artists alongside costume and set designs from Britten's own stage productions. The tour also takes in the composition studio and library, giving a vivid sense of the creative life the two men built together on the Suffolk coast.
