ETO: Pre Performance Talk: Orpheus and Eurydice

A chance to get under the skin of one of opera's most beloved myths before the curtain rises. English Touring Opera's pre-performance talk accompanies their new autumn 2026 production of Gluck's Orpheus and Eurydice, directed by Jenny Ogilvie, a specialist in movement and physical theatre. The production is performed in English and features a new orchestration by Leo Grant that weaves in live electronics and recorded soundworlds to capture Orpheus's grief and his journey into the underworld. Tenor William Morgan sings the title role, with Galina Averina as Eurydice and Rosie Lomas as Amor, conducted by Iwan Davies.
