Thetford Christmas Lights Switch On 2026

Thetford Town Council's lights switch-on evening fills the Market Place with stalls from local businesses, charities and traders from 4.30pm to 7.30pm, with a dedicated craft and makers fair in the Carnegie Room. Father Christmas arrives by steam engine at 5.30pm with the Charles Burrell Museum, and the lights go on at 6.30pm. There are local singers, a brass band, school choirs, magicians, fairground rides and reindeer food making.
