Thetford Town Council runs the town's market on the Market Place, in front of the Guildhall and the Red Lion, every Tuesday and Saturday. Under the council's market rules, traders must be set up by 8.30am and trade until 3pm. Tuesday is a small market, with a fishmonger, a clothing stall and a household and bric-a-brac stall. On Saturdays they are joined by fruit and vegetables, plants and flowers, a record stall and more.
