Dragon Hall
A rare survivor of 15th-century merchant architecture, Dragon Hall on King Street sits close to the River Wensum and is now home to the National Centre for Writing. Built around 1427 by merchant Robert Toppes, its first-floor trading hall spans 26 metres and is decorated with intricately carved dragons in Baltic oak. The building is wheelchair-accessible and has parking nearby. Visitor drop-in hours run on Mondays and Sundays, 10am to 3pm, with storytelling events and a lush garden on site.
