About this event
Calendar Girls the Musical comes to Ipswich's New Wolsey Theatre for a run of performances from 10 to 26 September 2026, as part of a brand-new UK revival co-produced with the Stephen Joseph Theatre, Theatre by the Lake and the Octagon Theatre Bolton.
Based on the true story that launched a global phenomenon, a record-breaking film and a West End hit, this warm-hearted musical tells of a group of ordinary Yorkshire Women's Institute members who decide to do something extraordinary: strip off for a fundraising calendar after the death of a much-loved husband. Written by Gary Barlow and Tim Firth, it is full of wit, heart and unforgettable songs, and gently reminds us that there is no such thing as an ordinary woman.
Audiences should note that the show contains strong language, brief nudity and themes of illness, grief and death.
