The seven-piece Rebop revisits saxophonist and composer Oliver Nelson's classic album The Blues and the Abstract Truth, a moody, modal record that originally featured Bill Evans, Eric Dolphy, Freddie Hubbard, Paul Chambers and Roy Haynes. The line-up is Paul Higgs (trumpet), Harry Greene (tenor sax), Tom Smith (alto sax), Chris Ingham (piano), Malcolm Creese (bass) and George Double (drums), plus a mystery baritone saxophonist.
