About
Ye Olde Bell and Steelyard
Dating from around 1540, this multi-roomed pub on New Street is one of the oldest buildings in Woodbridge. Its name comes from the listed 15th-century steelyard, a historic weighbridge that still projects over the street outside. Inside, three fireplaces, a high-beamed main bar, and a bistro area give plenty of space; a patio garden opens up in good weather. Dogs are welcome, bookings are taken, and the pub closes on Mondays.
