Meat & Greet

On Whiting Street in the centre of Bury St Edmunds, Meat & Greet grew out of a well-regarded East Anglian street food operation, founded in 2019, before opening its first permanent restaurant in January 2025. Steaks cut from Dexter cattle, dry-aged for at least 40 days, are cooked over live fire in an open kitchen; a dry-aged fridge lets diners choose their own cut. The menu also runs to gourmet burgers and handcrafted cocktails.
