A short drive from Aldeburgh and close to Snape Maltings, The Friston Chequers is run by Maddie and Jim and serves pub food five days a week using locally sourced ingredients, with a main menu and a weekly specials board. Drinks include Adnams and Woodfordes ales, local lagers, wines, spirits and fruit ciders, alongside cocktails. Outside seating sits at the front and on a rear patio, and a large green opposite the pub offers space for children.
