The Nutshell
The Nutshell is one of Britain's smallest pubs, a Victorian bar on The Traverse in Bury St Edmunds, Suffolk, with a Guinness World Record to its name.

About
The Nutshell
Measuring just 15ft by 7ft, this tiny Victorian pub in the centre of Bury St Edmunds has been pulling pints since 1867. The walls are plastered with photos, banknotes, and memorabilia, and a mummified cat, found bricked up in the chimney, hangs from the ceiling. Greene King ales are on tap, and the bar fills fast; elbow room is part of the appeal. Dogs are welcome, and the pub is open daily on The Traverse, a short walk from the Abbey ruins.
