Needham Lake Local Nature Reserve
Needham Lake Local Nature Reserve is a free countryside attraction in Needham Market, Suffolk, built on a flooded 1970s gravel pit beside the River Gipping.

About
Needham Lake Local Nature Reserve
Sitting on the edge of Needham Market beside the River Gipping, this 13-hectare nature reserve takes in wetland, meadow, scrub and a small woodland formed from a former gravel pit. Surfaced paths loop the lake in around 20-30 minutes, with longer riverside routes available for those who want more distance. Wildlife is a draw throughout the year, from dragonflies and nesting birds in summer to orchids lining the paths.
