Things that go bump...

A new horror-themed exhibition takes over the museum's sci-fi and film display, tracing scary stories from prehistory to modern horror films. Council collections sit alongside loaned movie props, collectibles and memorabilia from the world of horror in the West Gallery and Passageway galleries. It opens for Halloween half term and runs through the winter. Opening hours are 10am to 5pm Monday to Saturday and 10am to 4pm on Sunday, with last admission an hour before closing. Museum admission is £5.50 for adults, £4 for children aged 5 to 16 and full-time students, £19 for a family of two adults and three children, and free for under-fives.
