About
Newmarket Market
Newmarket Market is held every Tuesday and Saturday from 9am to 3pm in the Market Square car park, behind The Guineas Shopping Centre. It is run by West Suffolk Council. There has been a market in Newmarket for over 800 years, making it one of the oldest in Suffolk. Today's stalls sell fruit and vegetables, eggs, fish, cakes and jewellery, and some of the stallholders have been trading here for more than 40 years. The council also holds themed markets through the year. The nearest car park is The Guineas car park, at the front of the shopping centre. Buses stop outside The Guineas, and the railway station is about a 15 minute walk from the market.
