About
Ipswich Market
Ipswich Market sets up on the Cornhill in the town centre every Tuesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday, from 8.30am to 4pm. Ipswich Borough Council runs it and describes it as a small traditional market, with stalls selling fresh fish, local fruit and vegetables, bread and pastries, clothing and jewellery. Street food has its own spot at Giles Circus, where the line-up changes each market day. It has included burgers and bacon baps alongside Caribbean, Mexican and vegan food. The market was given its first Royal Charter by Edward II in 1317.
