About
Haverhill Market
Haverhill Market runs every Friday and Saturday from 9am to 3pm in the town centre. It is one of the weekly markets run by West Suffolk Council. Stalls sell fresh produce, general household items, pet food, clothing and jewellery, and the council says several new traders and start-up businesses have joined the market recently. Haverhill grew as a trading town thanks to its position by the River Stour, close to the river crossing at Wixoe, and its merchants once dealt in everything from livestock to feed and cloth. The nearest car park is Lower Downs Slade. Haverhill bus station is on Brook Service Road, and the nearest railway stations are Bury St Edmunds and Cambridge.
