Grace Adam: Artist's Talk

A free talk by Grace Adam on the opening weekend of Lines of Dissent, her solo exhibition at Walpole Old Chapel. Adam has spent the year as Artist in Residence at the chapel, a 16th-century farmhouse that became a secret nonconformist meeting house in 1689, and the talk is a chance to hear how the building's architecture and stories shaped the drawings, paintings and hazel-rod installation on show around her.

Adam is an artist and lecturer who trained as a painter and completed an MA in Sculpture and Installation at Chelsea College of Arts, where she now teaches history and theory on postgraduate courses. She has been Artist in Residence at St Giles in the Fields, the Museum of Domestic Architecture, Whitechapel Gallery, HMP Gartree and the Banff Centre for the Arts, and co-hosts The Art Channel, whose exhibition films have passed two million views.

The exhibition itself runs Saturdays and Sundays from 26 September to 31 October.
