About
Dunwich Heath
Managed by the National Trust since 1968, this rare stretch of coastal lowland heath sits just south of Dunwich village within the Suffolk Coast and Heaths Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. The site is also a Site of Special Scientific Interest, home to three types of heather and wildlife including the Dartford warbler and deer. Several marked walking routes cross the heath and lead down to the shingle beach below the clifftop.
