High Society

Fresh from a sell-out season at the Barbican, this lavish production of Cole Porter's musical comedy arrives on tour with Helen George (Call the Midwife, The King and I) leading a 28-strong cast as socialite Tracy Lord, whose carefully arranged wedding begins to unravel when her charming ex-husband reappears and a sharp-eyed tabloid reporter comes looking for a story. Freddie Fox, Nigel Lindsay, Julian Ovenden and Malcolm Sinclair complete the stellar line-up. Directed by Rachel Kavanaugh with choreography by Anthony Van Laast, the show is performed with a full orchestra and a score packed with Cole Porter standards including True Love, I Love Paris, Well, Did You Evah! and Who Wants to Be a Millionaire?. The book, by Arthur Kopit, is based on Philip Barry's play The Philadelphia Story.
