Jack Rooke's Good Grief

About this event

Jack Rooke, the BAFTA-winning writer and creator of Channel 4 and Hulu's comedy-drama Big Boys, brings his debut comedy-theatre show back to the stage a decade after it first launched his career. The show combines the original material, co-written with his then-80-year-old grandmother Sicely, with new writing that reflects on grief, ambition, class, and the unlikely journey from aspiring spoken-word artist to television writer. Funny and frank in equal measure, it has been described as "a delightful and still affecting watch" by the Guardian. The show is rated 16+ and contains strong language and references to grief, loss of a parent and suicide. Directed by Gabriel Bisset-Smith.
