Poringland Community Land is the village's open green space on The Ridings, provided by Poringland Parish Council. The council lists it at about 32 acres. It began as a 13-acre plot and has since taken in four more pockets of land to the south. The parish council's plans for the site, submitted to South Norfolk Council in 2023, include allotments, a pavilion and landscaped open space. The land is also the setting for Poringland Fireworks, the parish council's laser and fireworks night with a funfair and food stalls.
