About
Norwich Market
Norwich Market fills the Market Place beside Gentleman's Walk in the city centre, with over 190 stalls trading Monday to Saturday from 8.30am to 5.30pm. Norwich City Council runs it and describes it as one of the UK's oldest and most iconic open-air markets. The stalls sell everything from street food to vintage fashion, handcrafted gifts and fresh local produce. The market's history goes back to a Royal Charter granted in 1341, which still gives the city council the right to run it and to protect it from rival markets within 6.66 miles. There is no dedicated parking, but there are several car parks nearby.
