About
King's Lynn Tuesday Market
The Borough Council of King's Lynn and West Norfolk holds the town's weekly market every Tuesday, with stalls set out on the Tuesday Market Place. The square has hosted markets for centuries. In 1529 Henry VIII granted the town a charter allowing two markets a week, which the council describes as the likely origin of the Tuesday Market. The northern end of the square once had a market cross; the last one, designed by Henry Bell, was built in 1710 and demolished in 1831. The council does not publish set market times.
