Sheringham Potty Morris & Folk Festival 2027

One of North Norfolk's most beloved annual traditions returns to the streets of Sheringham on 3 and 4 July 2027. The Sheringham Potty Morris & Folk Festival fills the town with the colour and rhythm of visiting Morris sides, drawing dancers, musicians, locals and visitors alike to a weekend of free, open-air celebration.

Established in 1993 by the Lobster Potties Morris side, the festival has grown into a remarkable gathering that spills across the town's seafront, lanes and public spaces. True to its roots, it has never charged an admission fee to participants or onlookers, and that spirit of open welcome remains at its heart.

What to expect

• Dozens of visiting Morris sides dancing at pitches throughout the town, each showcasing different Morris forms and traditions
• A grand parade to kick off the Saturday dancing, with performances at venues across Sheringham
• Folk music sessions running alongside the dancing
• A published route map so you can follow your favourite sides or simply stumble upon something wonderful around every corner
